To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

Sometime late last year, I received an email from the Shutter Hub that they were going to host a meet-up of night photography led by NIGHT MOODS curator, Justin Carey.
For a long time, I have always wanted to try night photography, but I never got a chance to do so until I saw this opportunity. I went to the meet-up with no expectations other than enjoy meeting new photographers and doing what I have always wanted to do in the safety of a group of other photograpers.
The photo walk happened in January and surprisingly, on one of the mildest winter nights. Don’t get me wrong, it was cold and windy, but it was not as bad and we somehow missed the rain on that night.
On the day, I really regretted not carrying my tripod, but I still ended up with some pretty decent photos. However, they are not enough and I will have to top them up by the end of the month. Which will be a challenge in itself as the days are now longer than they were in January. It’s summer!
Anyway, these are the photos I will be sharing for my June 2023 Edition of the 30 Day Photo Project.
As always, if any of the images look decent enough, I will be adding them to my PRINT SHOP later this year.
