Sports: One Weekend, Two Matches

Hey Happy People! 👋🏾

Let me begin by apologising for yet again neglecting my blog/website. Life had me in a chokehold, but I knew I needed the time to reset and come back here when I was ready.

And what better way to come back and share my work via my blog, kicking off my sports photography 2026/27 season with not one, but two rugby matches in one weekend.

I have been covering Women’s rugby for as long as I can remember, but momentum picked up when I needed to build my portfolio for the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2025.

This was after I took a break while I was studying for my MA which wrapped up around the pandemic.

Since then, I have covered most of the PWR 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, following Saracens Women’s for most of their home games. I have also managed to cover a few of the Red Roses matches, from their tests to Six Nations games, all leading to the RWC.

And even after the RWC 2025 concluded, I knew I had to continue covering the women’s game as it has grown so much from when I started over 10 years ago.

And this brings me to my first set of matches to kick off my sports photography 2026/27 season. Over the weekend, I managed to photograph two matches and I will be sharing with you some of my favourite images from both games.

As much as I needed the break over the summer after the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, my body after this weekend was in pieces. 😫

However, I am glad to be back photographing women’s rugby and sharing my work.
