3 New Updates

Hello Happy People!

I am back!

I decided to take a brief break after finishing my latest 30 Day Photo Project in June as I was so exhausted. I honestly believe that I had blogging burnout as I only had a month to gather my thoughts after the April Edition.

During that break I decided to switch things around here and this brings me to…

Update #1 – New Website

Well, technically, I just switched to a new theme for my website to make it look more polished. This is something I have been thinking of doing for quite a while. There are a few things I still need to clean up, but so far I am happy with the way things are looking. I will be adding more work in the coming months now that things are slowly going back to ‘normal’. What do you think of the ‘new website’? Leave a comment below.

Update #2 – Second Runner-up

As I was taking and sharing photos for the June Edition of the 30 Day Photo Project, I decide that I should turn the camera on myself. During this period, HOME by Ronan McKenzie had an exhibition on The Self Portrait and as it was coming to an end, they decided to have competition on self-portraiture. I entered one of the images, this one, and it came second runner-up 👏🏾 😅. Something that I never expected, but it was such a great feeling especially when I was really struggling to come up with ideas every single day.

Jennie Baptiste had this to say when she selected my photo:

The depth of the B/W portrait, the inner hues of the tones sync in within the pose of her body language, is beautifully captured.

Thank you Jennie and HOME by Ronan McKenzie!

Update #3 – Annual Collaborations

I have now made the decision to be collaborating with other photographers on an annual basis and I will be doing this every April. This will give me enough time to come up with ideas and topics to collaborate and share during the April Editions of the 30 Day Photo Project. Collaborations will be the main focus, with the format interchanging between still images and video. I am currently working on the idea for April 2022 and I will be sharing the details on this later this year. If you would like to take part or know someone who might be interested, please follow me on Twitter and/or subscribe to my blog to receive those updates.

And there you have it. The 3 Updates that I really wanted to share with you as I am now back to my weekly blogging schedule. And yes, the 30 Day Photo Project will be back in September and it is going to be a really tough one to work on. Stay tuned!

See you next week! ✌🏾
