  • EK13 / 30 Day Photo Project – June 2022 Edition

Focus on opportunities not setbacks. Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t. Focus on the present moment, not the past or the future. Empower yourself!

    Akiroq Brost

I am back with the next edition of the 30 Day Photo Project.

This past weekend, I got the opportunity to photograph the HSBC Rugby Sevens in London. The last time I did so was in 2018. Since then, the event was held in 2019 and then halted due to the pandemic.

However, it returned to London for its 20th edition, but the first post-pandemic and 70,000+ fans turned up at Twickenham for the 2-day tournament.

I have to be honest with you, I wasn’t too sure what I would be sharing this this month’s edition, but returning to photograph the sevens, after being away for quite a while, presented the perfect way to share some of my work.

For this edition, I will share some of my favourites from London 7s 2022.

    The Rules

  • EK13 / 30 Day Photo Project – April 2022 Edition

I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn’t photograph them.

    Diane Arbus

It is that time of the year when I introduce what I am going to do for the next 30 Day Photo Project.

I cannot believe it is now TWO YEARS since I started doing this project.

When I started, I was looking for a way to keep me in the creative bubble and also to challenge myself with different ways of using photography as a means to communicate with myself and my audience.

And here we are introducing the first edition of the 30 Day Photo Project for 2022.

For this edition, I will be going back to how it all started, sharing with you photographs from a roll of film that I have been ‘seating’ on for years. I cannot even recall what images are in this roll. So we will be seeing them together for the first time since I had the roll developed. All 36 frames and all.

If any of the images do look decent, I will be putting them up for sale on my PRINT SHOP which will be launching on the 1st of May – right after I finish this project. 😉

    The Rules

    1. To post one frame per day.
    2. No captions. Just the photo.
    3. All photos from the roll will be posted. Even the ‘dead’ frames.

If you are reading this post, here are your rules.

    1. Subscribe to my blog so that you are notified when I post. No spam, I promise.
    2. Like the post and leave a comment. Let me know what you think of the photo that I share on the day and how it makes you feel.

  • EK13 / 30 Day Photo Project – November 2021 Edition

Just be patient. Let the game come to you. Don’t rush. Be quick, but not hurry.

    Earl Monroe

It is that time of the month again, where I introduce what I am going to do for the next 30 Day Photo Project and this will be the last one for 2021.

I have just realised that I hardly share any of my sports photography on my blog and I thought, why not do it now with this month’s edition? Right? So, it go me thinking of sharing my ‘bad’ sports images. I mean, from all the images I have take and shared that I think were good, there are some pretty BAD ones right that never get to see the light of day.

Well, this is their time to SHINE and shine they will.

Part of a photographer’s work, in this digital era especially, is to go through the hundreds of photos taken in one particular day to find a few that can be shared. It’s those that are not shared which will feature here daily for the month of November.

I hope by doing this, it will show people a few things:

    1. It is ok not to get the image you were after. It is part of the process.
    2. Do not delete ALL of your bad images. You never know when they would come in handy. Look at me using it for my #30DayPhotoProject. You could end up making a book or an exhibition of these photos. The possibilities are endless.
    3. We are not perfect and we do not live in a perfect world and these images will prove it. No one gets ALL of their photos right at any given session especially when it involves loads of people.

So, here is to the last one for this year 🥂 ✨
