  • Bloganuary Day 6: Billboard

    Bloganuary Day 6: Billboard

My freeway billboard will have one of my favourite quotes from The Minimalists,

“Love people and use things, because the opposite never works.”

What would your freeway billboard say? – See reponses below from others taking part in Bloganuary.

  • Bloganuary 5 – The Future or The Past

Bloganuary 5 – The Future or The Past

Today’s prompt has really got me thinking and I am not even sure I will articulate it very well, but I will try.

When you have dependants, thinking about the future is more prevalent than thinking about the past.

I often find myself thinking of things I would like to improve within myself, my loved ones and in my practice as a photographer so that I have something to look forward to.

Even though the past plays a huge part in my decision making, it is more so I do not repeat any mistakes I have made, but rather learn from them moving forward.

After all, “Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why? – See responses below from others taking part in Bloganuary.

  • Bloganuary Day 4 – Greatest Gift

Bloganuary Day 4 – Greatest Gift

LOVE is one of the greatest gifts someone could give me.

There is no overthinking with this one.

Other than love, what is the greatest gift someone could give you? – See responses below from others taking part in Bloganuary.

  • Bloganuary Day 3: Colleges

    Bloganuary Day 3: Colleges

Today’s prompt feels a tad bit ‘meh’.

However, I will share the colleges or as we call them here in the UK, universities, that I have attended.

I have attended only one for both my degrees – University of Westminster. It’s even mentioned on my bio here on my website.

I have also shared a few posts about my uni experience on my blog. You can read all about them here (apologies for the dead links):

  • Bloganuary Day 2: Playtime

    Bloganuary Day 2: Playtime

Today’s prompt has really got me thinking.

Do I play in my daily life? Like honestly, what does PLAYTIME look like in my life?

I seriously have say, NO. There are days where I just want to do nothing but sleep or stare into nothingness (is that even a word 😅).

I do play occassionally and for me this involves the following:

    • Having an impromptu dance session with my kids in the kitchen
    • Photographing things around me that have caught my interest and might look ridiculous to anyone else
    • Going to exhibitions and art shows
    • Watching loads of Kdrama
    • Calling a friend and chatting for hours
    • Hugging my family
    • Taking naps

The list can go on and on, but these are the ones that jump right at me and I have to say, looking at my occassional playfulness, they do bring me joy. 😌And that is the important part, right?
