Bloganuary Day 3: Colleges

Today’s prompt feels a tad bit ‘meh’.

However, I will share the colleges or as we call them here in the UK, universities, that I have attended.

I have attended only one for both my degrees – University of Westminster. It’s even mentioned on my bio here on my website.

I have also shared a few posts about my uni experience on my blog. You can read all about them here (apologies for the dead links):

Not the most inspiring prompt, but I took creative liberties with it. Looking at your website, I think you would win a “collages” prompt for sure. Beautiful work!

First off, nowadays, technical/vocational schools, or internships seem to be the ticket to get ahead. I attended both here in US and in Europe. Thing is I never understood why (in most cases) the name ‘college’ in America and University in Europe. One thing I know is that you can ‘major’ and ‘minor’ in different subjects in a US university. But no such thing in College. University in where I come from is hard to get in, most cases you don’t get into the faculty that you wanted. Sometimes you end up switching your dream career to whatever your grades qualifies you. How would you like to be farmed out to attend dentistry, when you applied for faculty of Law? At European universities there is very little, if any at all sports or other type of extracurricular fun activities. No ‘Animal House’. No fraternities, and no sororities, that I came across. Since I’m a senior citizen, maybe now? Dee Tezelli, Author of 24+ Amazon Mountain Thrillers books.
