Strangers Into Citizens Rally 2009

On May 4th 2009, immigrants in the UK (undocumented) together with their supporters marched in the streets on London to have their voices heard. The message was clear, make the Strangers into Citizens.

I attended the rally and my journey started off at the Methodist Central Hall in Westminister for a church service with various leaders of the cloth, which later lead to the march all the way down to Trafalgar Square passing Downing Street on the way.

For me it was an very inspirational day.

Trafalgar Square

London is just a beautiful city. All you have to do is look up…..at the buildings of course.

Trafalgar Square, London
Trafalgar Square, London

This was taken as a friend and I were walking away from the Flora London Marathon area, The Mall, on our way to catch our train home. The sun was shining, the weather was beautiful and I just couldn’t resist taking some more pics.

The building to the right of the photo is the National Gallery. On the left is the fourth plinth installation on Trafalgar Square, Model for a Hotel 2007.

I hope to venture out soon when the sun sets to capture the city as the lights come on. In the meantime…..
