This past weekend, I 'dusted' my camera gear and headed to Central London for an outdoor portrait session with Kwasi.

We have been following each other on Twitter during the course of the pandemic and now that things a fairly back to normal, I thought it would be the perfect time to get back to one on one portrait sessions.

Portraits: Kwasi

This past weekend, I ‘dusted’ my camera gear and headed to Central London for an outdoor portrait session with Kwasi.

We have been following each other on Twitter during the course of the pandemic and now that things a fairly back to normal, I thought it would be the perfect time to get back to one on one portrait sessions.

When I put out a call-out on Twitter, Kwasi was kind enough to accept my offer to take his portraits. And it was also a good opportunity to finally meet face to face whilst I re-flexed my outdoor photography taking muscles.

This outdoor portrait session took place in Regents Park and we walked around the beautiful park for like 3-4hrs just chatting and looking for spots to stop and take photographs. Let me tell you, I am out of shape. đŸ„”

Anyway, I can safely say, that I did a pretty good job seeing that the last time I photographed anyone else other than my family was back in 2019.

P.S. Kwasi is also a very good photographer and he came with his film cameras. This a photo I took using his Seagull 4a. camera with the Rollei RPX 400 film. You can follow him here to check out some of his work.

Portraits: Lavinia

This session technically was not planned. My circle of friends hardly ever get photographed by me unless we are socialising and I want to change that. So when Lavinia reached out to me to go for a screening of “Kati Kati” at South London Gallery, I took this an opportunity to break that cycle. So after we watched the film and made our way home, we stopped off at Westminster area and then walked towards the South Bank area of London to take a few images.

If there is anything I learnt from this experience, I AM NOT A FAN OF THE COLD. Lavinia, on the other hand, was a trooper, but we didn’t last long. The cold got the better of us.

Anyway, here are some the images I managed to conjure up in between frozen fingers and a very leaky eye.
