30 Photos in 30 Days – June 2020

This week, I am putting together a post to showcase my monthly challenges. I shared the April Edition of the challenge last week. In case you missed it, it can be viewed here.

The June Edition of the 30 Day Photo Challenge is the second time I have done the challenge. This time, I shared a roll of black and white film that was shot in 2018. Even though this roll was a 36 exposure roll of film, I only managed to get 30 frames as the rest got damaged when I was processing it.

Anyway, here are the images from June.

Which of these photographs show here are your favourites? Leave a comment below.

I am hoping that this becomes something that I do frequently as I really enjoy sharing my work here.

The next challenge is coming in November 2020 and I will be collaborating with 30 photographers to make this happen. Please subscribe to this blog so that you are notified via email when this happens.

30 Photos in 30 Days – April 2020

This week and next week, I am putting together these posts to showcase my monthly challenges.

I shared my first ever 30 Day Photo Challenge on my blog back in April. This is something I have always wanted to do to keep myself motivated photography wise. It is also an opportunity for me to share with you projects or work I have not shown before on this platform.

For the month of April, I showcased photographs from a roll of colour film I shot back in 2018 and this is what I shared in those 30 Days.

As this was a 36 exposure roll of film, any extra frames, I did a bonus post to showcase those images. You can read about it and view them here.

Next week, I will showcase the June Edition of the challenge.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Bonus Post

Happy New Month everyone.

I am here to report that I have done another 30 Day Photo Challenge, successfully. Well, almost. Missed posting on Day 6 at the allotted time, but made up for it. 😅

In case you missed it, the introduction post before the challenge can be found here.

The film I shared was shot back in 2018 between February and June. It is only now that I have managed to scan and share the images with you having not even seen the photos properly prior to this challenge. As you may have noticed, like taking another photo of the same scene just in case and this is why I sometimes ended up two of the same photo.

The film I used was an Ilford FP4 Plus 35mm, ISO 125. I have never used this type of film before and was basically experimenting. As a result, when processing the film, I lost the rest of the roll as I could not manage to wind all of it in the film spool. 😬

And since I do not have any bonus frames to share, I will re-share this photo of my daughter seeing as it is her birthday today. Happy Birthday, Princess!

I also noticed that I did not squeegee the water from the film properly during processing, so the dried water markers can be seen in some of the photographs. All in all, I am still happy with them.

So, which photographs have been your favourite? Leave a comment below with Day 6, 15, 22.

I will be doing this challenge again in September as it is the next month with 30 days. Not sure what kind of images I will share then, but keep checking in. I might just surprise you and myself.

From next week, I am back to posting once a week on Fridays.

Stay safe and don’t forget to wash your hands!
